Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Field Access Manager to proactively support patient access by educating providers and navigating reimbursement barriers across the GI portfolio. The role focuses on field-based engagement with hospitals, provider groups, and specialty pharmacies, working to resolve access challenges.

You will report to the Regional Director, Patient Access, GI Central, and travel up to 75% within Michigan, including Detroit, to manage territory-level access initiatives and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
• Strong knowledge of the reimbursement landscape and practice management environment.
• Ability to develop and execute account-based strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Optimize patient access by serving as a key educational resource to navigate reimbursement and access challenges.
• Provide tailored, field-based reimbursement education to healthcare providers (e.g., provider groups, hospitals, academic institutions, specialty pharmacies, and other stakeholders); anticipate and address access challenges.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations to identify and resolve reimbursement and patient access issues.
• Educate and support internal teams to address complex reimbursement and patient access scenarios.
• Stay informed on healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements.
