Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Field Access Manager to proactively support patient access by educating providers and navigating reimbursement barriers across the GI portfolio. The role focuses on field-based engagement with hospitals, provider groups, and specialty pharmacies, working to resolve access challenges.

You will report to the Regional Director, Patient Access, GI Central, and travel up to 75% within Michigan, including Detroit, to manage territory-level access initiatives and stakeholder

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
  • Strong knowledge of the reimbursement landscape and practice management environment.
  • Ability to develop and execute account-based strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.

Responsibilities

Field Access Manager, IBD-EOE
Role Overview

Play a proactive role on the Patient Access team to support patients by enhancing access to therapies across Takeda’s portfolio.

Act as a trusted educational resource to healthcare providers and institutions to address patient access barriers through strategic provider engagement and patient-focused support.

Report to the Regional Director, Patient Access, GI Central.

Objectives and Responsibilities

Education, Skills, and Competencies

Required:

Desired:

  • 5+ years in patient services or reimbursement roles in pharma/biotech/rare disease.
  • Experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, market access, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with buy-and-bill and pharmacy models.
  • Experience with specialty/high-cost therapies in chronic or acute care settings.
Location and Travel
  • Field-based; up to 75% travel.
  • Territory: Michigan (including Detroit).
