Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure is seeking an operator to prepare molds and apply chop/resin or gelcoat using spray equipment to specified thicknesses. You will follow a master schedule, maintain QA standards, and work with limited supervision.

The role includes equipment maintenance and occasional paperwork. The candidate should have basic fiberglass experience, be able to work outdoors/in non-temperature-controlled facilities, and handle materials such as fiberglass, resin, plastic, dust, and primer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of using fiberglass products/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load molds into spray booth area.
• Shoot laminate evenly and thoroughly on the mold.
• Ensure laminate thickness is uniform across the mold.
• Follow click count cards to ensure proper fiberglass quantity.
• Roll laminate with rollers to remove air pockets and mix resin properly.
• Repeat process with new molds.
• Maintain and clean chop gun between molds.
• Maintain operation of chopper gun and related equipment.
• Handle paperwork/inventory as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and department.
• Work in different areas and environments as needed.
