Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. You will perform OTDR tests, fusion splicing, and fault identification across diverse environments, including retail and data centers.

The role emphasizes field problem solving, documentation, and professional client interactions. This 1099 contractor position offers pay on an hourly basis with travel pay within an 80-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Experience with fiber testing and troubleshooting in field environments.
• Proficient with OTDRs, power meters, light sources and fiber certification equipment.
• Ability to read network diagrams and splice schematics.
• At least 1 year in Fiber, IT, or Telecom, or 5+ years field experience with relevant certs.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic testing, splicing, and certification tasks.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter and light source checks.
• Identify faults and repair fiber jumpers and cabling.
• Document test results and splicing records for projects.
• Work independently across various environments and with clients.
