Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support a growing national client base. The role involves certifying fiber links with OTDRs, troubleshooting impairments, performing fusion splicing, and identifying faults across critical infrastructure.

The position offers field work across diverse environments, with emphasis on reliability, professionalism, and advanced fiber tech skills. This is a 1099 contractor role with travel within a broad territory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and fiber certification equipment
• Ability to read network diagrams and splicing schematics

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic testing, splicing, and installation tasks
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter testing, and fiber certification
• Identify faults and troubleshoot impairments across client networks
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables
• Work independently across diverse environments including retail, medical, and data centers
