Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. This role involves field work, OTDR testing, fiber certification, and complex troubleshooting across various facilities.

You may perform fusion splicing, replace damaged jumpers, and document results while working in diverse environments. 1099 contractor role with on-site pay and travel within a broad territory.

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Familiar with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and certification equipment.
• Ability to read network diagrams and splice schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic splicing with fusion and mechanical methods.
• Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing and fiber certification.
• Identify faults, inspect connectors, and replace jumpers as needed.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode cabling.
• Document test results and splicing records for projects.
