Metronet is seeking a Fiber Technician in Mason City, IA to install and troubleshoot fiber services from the terminal to the customer premise equipment. You will educate customers on Metronet products, and may earn commissions by promoting services.

The role requires reliability, professionalism, and the ability to meet performance metrics. Applicants should be able to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders up to 25 feet, work in various environments, and hold a valid driver''s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Physical ability to work kneeling or standing for long periods.
• Physical ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet with safety equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and to work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather.
• Valid driver''s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and independently.
• Willingness to travel for training or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
• Provide in-depth customer education on Metronet products and services.
• Earn commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to customers.
• Be professional with customers and associates.
• Work toward meeting key performance metrics.
• Perform other duties as requested.
