Job summary

The Fiber Technician role involves independent residential FTTP installations, on-site repairs, and high-quality VoIP service provisioning, with emphasis on safety and excellent customer experience.

The position covers South Central Kansas, with training at Buhler, KS. You will work in aerial and underground environments, using bucket trucks and adhering to DOT/OSHA safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a field-based technical role such as installer, electrician, HVAC, or related.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Comfort with underground and aerial installations including ladders up to 32 ft.
• Experience operating a bucket truck within 300 lb weight limit.
• Willingness to work on-call nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent FTTP installations and prompt repairs for residential and business customers.
• Install and repair VoIP services ensuring high-quality communications.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity and service issues on-site.
• Provide exceptional in-home/business customer experiences with clear explanations of gateways and WiFi.
• Install service drops from the terminal to customer premises.
