Job summary

Charter Communications is seeking a Fiber Technician I to locate and repair fiber impairments in the field and to connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers. You will work primarily in the field, maintaining and improving the fiber network to keep customers connected across our growing network.

The role requires a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and at least 1 year of maintenance tech experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma and industry certifications (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E).
1 year maintenance tech or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of fiber architectures, testing/splicing equipment, CWDM/DWDM, and valid driver's license.
Must be highly organized, independent, and have strong communication skills.
Able to stand 50-70% of the time, use hand tools, climb poles infrequently, and work in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

Locate and repair fiber impairments in the field to maintain service quality.
Inspect fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers.
Maintain and improve Charter’s fiber network to keep customers connected.
Collaborate with team and peer organizations to ensure network reliability.
