Job summary

Spectrum, operating as Charter Communications, seeks a Fiber Technician I to locate and repair fiber impairments in the field while working mostly independently. You will inspect existing fiber plant and connect new builds for residential and enterprise customers, maintaining and improving the network to keep customers connected.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to operate in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• NCTI/SCTE/BCT/E certifications preferred.
• NCTI Fiber Installation/Activation and Fiber Testing courses values.

Responsibilities

• Locate and repair fiber impairments in the field.
• Work primarily independently while examining existing fiber plant and connecting new builds for residential and enterprise customers.
• Maintain and improve Charter’s fiber network to keep customers connected.
