Job summary

Pro-Tel is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead high-visibility fiber splicing and testing projects in hyperscaler data center environments. The role focuses on on-site leadership, testing (OTDR/OLTS), and ensuring ultra-low loss budgets are met.

Requires Columbus, OH area residence and willingness to travel to field locations. The position offers a hybrid work model with remote-from-home options and travel, paying between $75,000 and $85,000 annually, depending on experience.

• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Analytical problem-solving for optical link issues and field problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site fiber splicing and testing crews from inception to closeout.
• Provide operational oversight to service hyperscaler clients and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Develop guidelines, monitor compliance with data center protocols, and enforce safety requirements.
• Serve as on-site liaison between the client, facility reps, other trades, and equipment vendors.
• Build daily progress reports and manage splicing matrices and crew schedules.
• Collaborate with management across operations, engineering, installation, and procurement to drive improvements.
