Job summary

ITC is hiring for a fiber splicing role in Austin, TX. You will splice fiber optic cables, both underground and aerial, and run fiber drops for our clients in residential and commercial sectors. Training is provided, and compensation includes $20/hr plus performance bonuses.

The job requires physical work, climbing ladders, operating trenching equipment, and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays when needed. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecom is preferred but not required.
• Fully train you to splice fiber optic cable.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Valid state driver’s license and color vision.
• Able to carry up to 100 lbs. and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate trenching equipment such as a mini skid steer or walk-behind trencher.
• Splice fiber on utility poles and strands as part of service work.
• Serve residential and commercial customers with field crews.
