Job summary

Forged Fiber 37 Services, LLC is hiring a Fiber Tech II – Splicing Technician in Denver to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable across construction, operations, and restoration projects. You will work outdoors in all weather, follow strict safety standards, and document results for multiple crews and partners.

The role requires 2+ years in fiber splicing or related field, strong tool knowledge (fusion splicer, OTDR, power meter), and the ability to read complex construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read and interpret construction prints, splice diagrams, maps, schematics, permits, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable for construction and restoration projects.
• Troubleshoot faults with OTDR, power meter, identifiers, scope and document results.
• Prepare, install, audit, and repair splice cases/enclosures (aerial, buried, handholes, manholes).
• Perform dark fiber, reel, and continuity testing; repair to restore service and maintain route integrity.
• Read and interpret prints/diagrams/maps; create As-Builts when needed.
• Coordinate with construction crews and partners; provide detailed field splicing reports.
