Ideal candidates have 2+ years of splicing experience, can read prints and diagrams, and collaborate effectively with field crews. On-site duties include possible overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience.
• Knowledge of fusion splicer, OTDR, optical power meter, and fiber identifiers.
• Ability to read construction prints and splice diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, and test fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot fiber faults with OTDR and optical meters; document results.
• Prepare splice cases across aerial, buried, handholes, and manholes.
• Perform testing and repairs to maintain route integrity.
• Coordinate with crews and document field splicing reports.
• Read plans, maps, and As-Builts; learn OT/OLT tasks.
