Job summary

Forged Fiber is hiring a Fiber Tech II - Splicing Technician to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables for construction projects across our network. You will work with OTDRs, power meters, and splicing equipment in dynamic field environments, following safety policies and quality controls.

The role requires reading construction prints and splice diagrams, coordinating with teams, and performing both aerial and underground splices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read construction prints, splice diagrams, and as-builts.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot faults using OTDR, power meter, and related tools; document tests.
• Read diagrams, permits, and maps; perform aerial/underground splice work as required.
• Coordinate with crews, contractors, and engineers to resolve outages and schedules.
