Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Fiber Splicing Manager to lead and supervise fiber splicing crews on multiple projects. You will plan schedules, review splice plans, ensure safety, monitor budgets, and report progress to stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in fiber optic splicing with 3+ years in supervision, plus OTDR/testing experience. A valid driver’s license and OSHA training are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in fiber optic splicing with 3+ years in supervision.
• Proficient reading splice plans, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with fusion and mechanical splicing techniques.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; travel to sites as needed.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor fiber splicing crews; hire, train, and evaluate staff.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate splicing projects within budget and timelines.
• Review splice plans and engineering drawings for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and client specifications.
• Manage splicing equipment, tools, and fleet; ensure calibration.
• Conduct QC inspections and resolve deficiencies on site.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly project reports; track costs and resources.
