Job summary

Future, a Primoris Company in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Fiber Splicer to perform fusion splicing of SM/MM fibers in both outside and indoor environments and to manage cabling per specifications. You will prep, dress, and store fiber and execute live cut-overs during maintenance windows.

The role requires 1–3 years in fiber splicing, strong tool knowledge (fusion splicer, OTDR, power meter, VFL), and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of fiber splicing and testing.
• Proficient with fusion machines, OTDRs, power meters and trade tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Fusion splice SM/MM outside plant, inside plant tight buffered, and ribbon fiber cable.
• Prepare, dress, and store fiber cabling per design specifications.
• Read and update splice documentation and maps; perform live fiber cut-overs during maintenance hours.
