The position is full-time and outdoors, requiring readiness to work in all weather conditions and to learn new skills under the supervision of the foreman. CDL is a plus, with competitive benefits and safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license; be eligible to obtain required license for position.
• Good driving record required.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various utility trucks and equipment safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Fiber Splicer in all labor tasks as needed.
• Learn fiber splicing and assist as directed by the Fiber Splicer.
• Perform general labor to enable fiber splicing and other tasks.
• Hand dig using shovel and mechanical tools; set up and cleanup construction sites.
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling; operate around heavy equipment.
• Maintain safety procedures and coordinate with crew for safe operation.
• Learn all aspects of crew responsibilities and assist Foreman as assigned.
• Adapt to outdoor conditions and work in various terrains.
