Ervin Cable Construction LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II in Sherman, TX to fuse optical fibers and maintain our growing telecom network. You will splice cables, test circuits, and ensure standards are met, while documenting work and guiding fellow splicers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Must pass a DOT medical exam for a valid medical card.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot post-installation circuits.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths and mid-sheath fibers as needed.
• Provide guidance to other splicers; daily vehicle maintenance and map/material documentation.
• Document work with daily production reports and material usage records.
