Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You will perform upgrades, test post-installation circuits, and ensure standards are met.

The role requires 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecom, a valid US driver’s license, ability to pass a DOT physical, and a high school diploma or GED. This position involves fieldwork at various heights and strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in the telecommunications industry.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• Driver's license in good standing with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work via daily production reports and map updates.
