Job summary

Lambert's Cable is hiring a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our growing telecommunications network. You’ll perform splicing, testing, activation, and troubleshooting to ensure strong, reliable connectivity across aerial and underground routes.

Candidates should have 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecom, be 18+, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain a DOT medical card. We offer comprehensive benefits and steady weekly paychecks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• DOT medical card required or able to obtain one.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecom.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned
