Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is hiring a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks.

You’ll contribute to a growing network by completing splicing tasks both aerial and underground, testing and troubleshooting post-installation circuits, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Required are 18+ years of age, US work authorization, a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT medical card requirement.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work through daily production reports and map updates.
