Job summary

Trawick Construction Company, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to join our field team in Live Oak, FL. You will perform cable upgrades, splice fibers, test circuits, and ensure installations meet industry standards.

This entry-level role requires 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecom, a valid driver's license, ability to pass a DOT medical exam, and readiness to work at heights. We provide hands-on training, safety-first culture, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age and authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean record.
• Must pass DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Pole climber certification preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot circuits post-installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights and environments.
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance and document work via reports.
