Job summary

ByVerTek is seeking a Fiber Splicer with 2–4 years of experience to splice fiber cables from 12ct to 864ct, troubleshoot as needed, and support expanding our South Central Florida network. This field-based role requires travel to job sites and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

You will splice fiber, perform light labor, read plant records and schematics, and coordinate with ISP/OSP terminations while adhering to safety standards and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of fiber splicing experience.
• Knowledge of hot cuts and solid OTDR testing.
• Ribbon splicing knowledge preferred.
• Experience in how to read and interpret outside and subscriber plant facility records and engineering schematic work prints.

Responsibilities

• Splicing fiber optic cable large and small counts and Ribbon fiber.
• Light labor including lifting manhole covers and barricading open manholes.
• Working with ISP/OSP terminations.
• Working in, from and around hand-holes and manholes.
