Communications Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to complete optical fiber fusions and maintain our telecommunications networks. The role involves splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable connectivity across aerial and underground installations.

Responsibilities include documenting work, performing vehicle maintenance, and adhering to strict safety and industry standards. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, pass a DOT medical exam, and have splicing

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license (non-provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned
