Job summary

Future Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a skilled fiber optic technician to perform fusion splicing and testing across outdoor and indoor cable configurations. The role requires hands-on work with fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, VFLs, and related tools, with an emphasis on quality documentation and teamwork.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of fiber splicing experience, strong communication skills, and be prepared for day and night shifts, on-call rotations, and physically demanding tasks

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of fiber splicing and testing.
• Working knowledge of fusion machines, OTDRs, power meters and tools.
• Organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and communicate professionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Word/Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Fusion splice SM or MM outside plant, loose tube, inside plant tight buffered, and ribbon fiber cables.
• Prepare, dress, and store fiber cabling per specifications and assemble equipment.
• Prepare armored and non-armored cables, ribbon, and mid-sheath applications.
• Perform live fiber cut-overs during maintenance hours.
• Troubleshoot damaged fiber effectively with fiber test equipment.
