Job summary

ByVerTek is seeking a Fiber Splicer with 2–4 years of experience to splice fiber cables from 12ct to 864ct and troubleshoot as needed. The role involves field work across South Central Florida, including handling manholes, ladders, and pole or bucket truck tasks to expand the network.

Applicants should stand 50 pounds, read plant records and schematics, and have knowledge of direct terminations and testing; travel to job sites is required, with occasional evenings or weekends as projects demand.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fiber splicing experience, including large and small count cables and ribbon fiber.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work safely in outdoor field environments.
• Reading and interpreting outside plant facility records and engineering schematics.
• Knowledge of hot cuts and OTDR testing; ribbon splicing knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Splice fiber optic cables of large and small counts and ribbon fiber.
• Perform light labor such as lifting and barricading manholes and open items.
• Work with ISP/OSP terminations and in, from, and around hand-holes and manholes.
