MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Fiber Splicer to build end-to-end fiber optic networks. You will run tests, troubleshoot continuity, and prep splice enclosures while working in outdoor utility sites.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience
• Able to work on a ladder or bucket truck
• Safety‑driven daily
• Willing to work long shifts with overtime
• Looking for long‑term projects

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot the continuity of fiber optic networks
• Operate testing equipment and resolve fiber network challenges
• Prep fiber splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.)
• Use fusion splicer, OTDR, DWDM and CWDM and related test gear
• Understand fiber design, light levels and dB loss
• Work at outdoor utility construction sites
