Job summary

White Mountain Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications network. You will perform cable upgrades, test and troubleshoot circuits, and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Requirements include at least two years of fiber splicing experience, a valid US driver's license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical. This is a full-time role with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a DOT medical exam for a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Upgrade existing fiber sheaths with new fiber sheaths
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed
• Complete daily vehicle maintenance and document work with reports
