Job summary

Pillar Innovations, LLC is hiring a Field Technician II - Fiber Optics to string and maintain fiber optic cables across outside plant locations, including poles, underground services, and conduit. You will troubleshoot, terminate, splice, document, and test fibers to meet customer needs.

The role requires working at heights, using splicers and OTDRs, and staying current with industry standards. You will report to the Project Manager - Fiber Optics and participate in safety trainings and

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant Fiber Optics experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Must be comfortable working at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform work in communications spaces.
• Terminate, splice, document, and test fiber optic cables.
• Work from elevated positions in bucket truck.
• Maintain and repair fiber lines at outside plant locations.
• Follow industry-standard coding for fiber optics.
