Job summary

Pillar Innovations in Morgantown, WV is seeking an experienced Aerial Construction Technician II - Fiber Optics to string, maintain, and repair overhead fiber lines, including installs, pole transfers, and equipment mounting. The role reports to the Project Manager - Fiber Optics in a field setting.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years fiber optics experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to climb poles up to 60 feet. CDL A preferred; Flagger Certification a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant Fiber Optics experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Flagger Certification is a plus.
• Able to climb poles up to 60 feet using safe protocols.
• CDL A preferred or in training.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform work in communication spaces.
• Qualify to work safely in energized spaces.
• Operate a bucket truck from the cab.
• Pull cable, strand, fiber, and lash for long periods.
• Read and interpret design packages.
• Lead projects or crews and mentor less experienced coworkers.
• Complete time and material documentation.
