Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced fiber optic maintenance technician to support our client in Norfolk, VA. The candidate will have extensive experience assembling cable assemblies, a basic understanding of operating testing equipment, documenting testing results, and a keen eye for deviations or defects in the cable.

The role covers the complete lifecycle of the assembly, testing, reporting, collaboration, and delivery of the finished product, with hands-on work and strict adherence to

Qualifications

• Experience terminating and fabricating fiber optic cables.
• Hands-on experience assembling cable assemblies, specifically molded or complex cable assemblies.
• Ability to prepare test specimens, operate test equipment, and document results, including identifying deviations or defects.
• Ability to read and interpret cable assembly drawings, schematics, and build documentation.
• Knowledgeable following standardized work instructions for cable builds.
