Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience or associate degree with related experience.
• Experience terminating fiber optic cables and polishing ferrules using machine methods.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Kit cable/connector parts and cut cables to specified lengths per drawings.
• Terminate fiber optic cables and polish ferrules with machines.
• Test fiber optic cables for insertion loss and return loss.
• Troubleshoot with optical time domain reflectometer.
• Visually inspect using FOVIS and Interferometer.
• Maintain thorough test data records and perform QC checks.
• Set up and operate cable analyzers for Hipot testing.
