Job summary

Conexon in Milton, Florida, is seeking a field technician to install and maintain FTTX broadband and voice services for residential and commercial customers. You will handle both interior and exterior cabling, perform inventory documentation, and ensure timely restoration of services after tickets are dispatched.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, with climbing of ladders and poles up to 25 feet as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• PC and Microsoft Office skills requested.
• Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs.
• Safely operate a company vehicle.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision.
• Strong leadership skills essential.
• Physically able to lift 100 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and poles up to 25 feet.

Responsibilities

• Install FTTX broadband service to residential and commercial customers.
• Ensure customer services are restored after trouble ticket dispatch.
• Complete interior and exterior cabling of fiber optic and ethernet cables.
• Document inventory assignments within the inventory system.
• Track progress of feeder construction.
