Job summary

Conexon is seeking a hands-on Installer/Technician to deploy FTTX broadband in Owensboro, KY. The role involves installing fiber to homes and businesses, testing lines, and ensuring timely restoration of services. You will work with field teams to maintain inventory and support construction progress.

Requirements include a high school diploma and the ability to operate test equipment such as fusion splicers and OTDRs, with strong communication and leadership skills for site coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to operate optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to work remotely with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install FTTX broadband service for residential and commercial customers.
• Restore customer services after trouble tickets.
• Complete interior and exterior fiber optic and ethernet cabling.
• Document inventory in the system and track feeder construction progress.
• Coordinate with field personnel to maintain inventory and equipment.
