Job summary

Conexon in Milton, Florida, is seeking a field technician to install and maintain FTTX broadband and voice services for residential and commercial customers. You will handle both interior and exterior cabling, perform inventory documentation, and ensure timely restoration of services after tickets are dispatched.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, with climbing of ladders and poles up to 25 feet as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.

• Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs.
• Safely operate a company vehicle.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Installs, maintains, and repairs customer FTTX broadband and voice services. Completes quality control functions for other installation technicians in the assigned area. Responsible for maintaining inventory between technicians and warehouses throughout the territory. Typically installs aerial and/or buried service drop cabling, ONTs, network interface devices (NID), and performs wiring for new or existing FTTX broadband, voice, and Special Circuit subscriber services.

  • Ability to bend stoop kneel Crouch or reach as required by job tasks etc.
