Job summary

WAVSYS is seeking a qualified Field Inspector to verify OSP construction site compliance with project specifications, design standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in telecommunications, construction inspection, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in OSP construction inspection, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Thorough knowledge of OSP construction standards, practices, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with fiber optic network infrastructure components, installation techniques, and testing procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, including measurement devices, testing instruments, and documentation software.
• Certifications such as BICSI OSP Technician or equivalent are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of OSP construction sites to verify compliance with project specifications, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate construction activities, materials, and installations to ensure adherence to industry best practices and quality standards.
• Identify deviations from approved plans or specifications and recommend corrective actions to maintain project integrity and performance.
• Monitor construction sites for adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, equipment operation, and workplace safety practices.
• Identify potential safety hazards and work with construction teams to implement corrective measures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
