Job summary

WAVSYS is seeking a qualified Field Inspector to verify OSP construction site compliance with project specifications, design standards and regulatory requirements. You will evaluate activities, materials and installations for quality, safety and adherence to industry best practices, and identify deviations to recommend corrective actions while maintaining project integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in telecommunications, construction inspection, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in OSP construction inspection, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Thorough knowledge of OSP construction standards, practices, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with fiber optic network infrastructure components, installation techniques, and testing procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, including measurement devices, testing instruments, and documentation software.
• Certifications such as BICSI OSP Technician or equivalent are desirable.
