Job summary

Network Connex is seeking an OSP Designer to prepare, revise, and maintain Outside Plant engineering drawings for fiber optic projects. You will work with engineers, project managers, and field teams to develop accurate aerial and underground designs, permitting packages, and construction drawings to support project execution.

The role requires AutoCAD experience and familiarity with GIS, pole attachment, and right-of-way processes, plus ability to review survey data and ensure design accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience with OSP engineering or telecom fiber projects.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms and permitting documentation.
• AutoCAD drafting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify OSP engineering drawings using AutoCAD, GIS, or related software.
• Develop aerial and underground fiber route maps and construction documents.
• Create and maintain Engineering Work Documents (EWDs), fiber designs, splice diagrams, permit exhibits, and as-built drawings.
• Review field survey data and incorporate findings into design packages.
• Support permit package preparation and jurisdictional submittals.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, and Project Management teams to ensure design accuracy.
• Maintain project documentation and drawing standards.
• Assist with bill of materials development and documentation tracking.
• Revise drawings based on customer comments and design changes.
• Ensure all deliverables meet company and customer quality standards.
