Job summary

AFL manufactures fiber optic cable and related products, and seeks a Manufacturing Tech I to join the ACA manufacturing team. You will safely operate production lines, monitor equipment, and help ensure quality while controlling costs in a dynamic, team-based environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with manufacturing experience, basic math, data entry, and adherence to safety policies. You will perform machine changeovers and assist others as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or 1+ years manufacturing experience.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical/drug screen.
• Able to lift between 15 and 40 pounds repeatedly daily.
• Safety glasses and steel toe shoes required at all times.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AFL environmental, health & safety policies.
• Monitor production and conduct efficient machine changeovers.
• Ensure product meets quality specifications and daily production goals.
• Accurately enter production and quality data using a computer.
• Achieve and maintain assigned production process certifications.
• Maintain assigned work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assist other operators with machine set-up and operation as needed.
• Document and report quality issues.
• Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks on time.
