Job summary

CS Contract Solutions is seeking a Fiber I&R Technician to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic internet services for residential and commercial customers in Baxter Springs, KS. This full-time W-2 role is deployed to telecom carrier clients and requires flexibility with work locations as project needs shift.

Training in Bedford, NH is provided, with travel and lodging covered. The position offers production-based pay with earnings potential from $104,000 to $208,000 annually once fully

Qualifications

• Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred; paid training provided.
• Must supply own vehicle with ladder rack, tools and safety equipment per the company's checklist.
• Smartphone, laptop, and Microsoft Excel required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems—residential and commercial customers.
• Place aerial or buried drops and interior/exterior wiring.
• Complete pre-install work orders and post-install verification of service performance.
• Provide clear product education to customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Observe safety rules and OSHA regulations, including safe work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Log work orders and time accurately using internal systems.
• Maintain minimum metrics for Repeats, Productivity, and Completions.
• Assist other technicians and adapt to new processes as required.
