Job summary

CS Contract Solutions in Ville Platte, LA is seeking a Fiber I&R Technician to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic internet for residential and commercial customers. This is a full-time, W-2 position deployed to work for telecom carrier clients in your region.

You will handle aerial/buried drops, complete pre/post-install tasks, and deliver clear product education while adhering to safety standards. Training is provided; travel to Bedford, NH for one week is included.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.
• Smartphone, laptop, and Microsoft Excel required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug test.
• Overtime and weekend work may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Place aerial or buried drops and interior/exterior wiring.
• Complete pre-install work orders and post-install service verification.
• Provide clear product education to customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Observe safety rules and OSHA regulations, including work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Keep scheduled customer appointments and log work orders/time.
• Assist other technicians and adapt to new processes.
