Job summary

Evolving Solution Services is seeking a System Technician to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic lines and related systems. The role involves overhead and underground work, including climbing poles and inspecting for repairs, with a focus on safety and adherence to schedules.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with cable splicing/termination, and be capable of lifting and working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic lines.
• Ability to work with overhead and underground cables.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and related systems.
• Build aerial plant, stringing and grounding components per specs.
• Assist team with issues; participate in on-call emergency work.
• Inspect lines for repair or replacement; read design specs and maps.
• Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, compressors, and pumps.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to supervisor.
• Prepare field notes and document changes in the system.
