Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Assembly Operator V to perform advanced fiber optic cable assemblies, termination, testing and associated setup in Arden, NC. You will support engineering with new product launch manufacturing processes and help train team members, all while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Applicant should have 3+ years manufacturing experience, including 2+ years in fiber optic assembly, and be proficient with test equipment and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience, including 2+ years in fiber optic assembly/manufacturing
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Experience with optical testing equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables and assemble/pack connector components
• Operate fiber router and complete over-molding processes as needed
• Support prototype builds and pre-release NPI builds
• Measure components with calipers and gauges and maintain traceability of products
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs
• Train new team members on products, processes and procedures
• Drive continuous improvement to improve manufacturing efficiency
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain clean room environment
