Job summary

Bluepeak is seeking a Fiber Maintenance Technician for Cheyenne, WY, to maintain, service, and repair telecom networks and components at customer sites. You will splice fibers, activate equipment, and perform emergency restores while keeping safety and quality at the forefront.

The role requires a high school diploma, electronics basics, and 2+ years in installation/repair. This is an on-site position with on-call duties, training support, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and operation of an HFC or fiber network.
• Two years of installation/repair experience preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, email).
• Ability to work standing long hours and in varying terrains.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair HFC or fiber network issues.
• Test and balance components and cables to ensure signal integrity.
• Maintain and repair HFC network power supplies.
• Splice and activate fiber optic cables and nodes.
• Assist in training and on-call rotations.
• Identify and report compliance issues per FCC/NESC/OSHA standards.
• Present technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
