Job summary

Fidium Fiber is seeking an Installation and Maintenance Technician to install, service, and maintain voice and data equipment for commercial and residential customers from the Central Office to premises. You will work outdoors in all weather, climb and lift up to 75 pounds, and ensure quality service.

This non-exempt role requires color-coded fiber knowledge, handheld device use, and a strong commitment to safety, customer experience, and meeting performance metrics, with occasional evenings,

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• Two-year telecom or networking degree or 5-7 years equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to discern color coded cables and fiber optics.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair services including Internet, Data and Voice.
• Represent the company with pride and professionalism and deliver a delightful customer experience.
• Work outdoors, aloft, and in various weather; handle physical tasks as required.
• Learn and apply technical knowledge of fiber-based IP networks and test equipment.
• Meet performance, efficiency and customer service metrics; participate in on-call rotation.
