Job summary

AFL is hiring a Fiber Installation Technician to install and service broadband, TV, and voice products at customer sites. You will perform inside and outside plant work, run fiber drops, splice connections, and verify service while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift, and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends. Training and equipment are provided to support professional growth in a dynamic telecom environment.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Reasonable flexibility to work weekends/holidays when required.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic drops and perform aerial, buried, or plenum runs.
• Set up ONT and power supplies and configure customer equipment.
• Test and verify service delivery and educate customers on features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic visual and connectivity issues.
• Document work orders and ensure safety protocols are followed.
