Zayo Group is seeking a Fiber Engineer to design and manage fiber paths across the network. You will handle high-volume projects, update fiber inventories, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure accurate splicing and data records.

Ideal candidates will have a four-year Engineering degree and 3+ years of fiber design experience, with proficiency in GIS, QGIS, and Google Earth for KMZ interpretation. On-site work preferred in western regions.

Competenze

• Four-year college Degree in Engineering or equivalent Telecom Network Experience required.
• Minimum of three (3) years fiber design experience that includes ring configurations, FTT projects, and various high volume site deliveries required.
• Proficiency in MS Visio and Excel; Salesforce.com knowledge is a plus.
• GIS-based platforms and fiber inventory systems knowledge; QGIS experience preferred.
• Google Earth experience - produce KMZ files and interpret outside plant construction KMZs.

Mansioni

• Design routes for fiber-based services including Point to point, Ring, and path diverse routing.
• Research existing databases, files, and records for network design, fiber optimization, and relocation of fiber facilities.
• Delivers design solutions of fiber path and splicing schematics for high-volume fiber projects.
• Maintain fiber plant databases and inventory across multiple systems (OSPI, Network Manager Telecom, NetCracker, QGIS, Salesforce).
• Assigns cable names, splice IDs, and manages Splice Activity & Order processes.
