Job summary

The role involves performing proof‑of‑concepts, building prototypes, and ensuring lab safety while supporting engineering from development to production. Compensation reflects experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in lasers, optics, electronics, or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with high power lasers, optics, and fibers.
• Experience with fiber processing and inspection tooling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial proof-of-concept experiments.
• Build and characterize prototypes.
• Develop and document processes and tooling.
• Assist in transferring products to manufacturing and training operators.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation of development labs.
• Troubleshoot problems in development lab and factory.
