Job summary

AFL manufactures fiber optic products and provides installation services for major telecom customers. The Fiber Installation Technician role involves installing and troubleshooting broadband services, including fiber drops, ONT setups, and network equipment, in residential settings.

Requires driving, lifting up to 100 lbs, and flexibility for nonstandard hours to ensure customer satisfaction. Employees may receive a vehicle allowance and company gear; compensation starts at $22 per hour with

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work on-call and on standby.
• Experience cabling CAT5/COAX and installing home networks.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber services inside and outside the home.
• Connect fiber jumpers and drops (aerial, buried, plenum).
• Install ONT, power supplies, and routers.
• Verify service and educate customers on network usage.
